About The Book : The book is based on case studies that show how social media is useful for participatory development . About The Author : Dr. Ravindra Chincholkar has 37 years of experience in the media sector. He completed his graduation and postgraduation in Journalism and Mass Communication from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. He stood first in the university's merit list in both courses and received the Lokmat Gold Medal along with seven other awards. He worked in newspapers for ten years and served as the first PRO of KBC North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon for 13 years. Since October 2008, he has been working as Head of Department of Mass Communicationat Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, Solapur. Dr. Chincholkar presented 23 research papers in na tional and international conferences. Under his guidance, 10 students completed Ph.D. He has received a grant of Rs 8 lakh from ICSSR-IMPRESS for the research project 'Changing Media, Changing Society, Changing Culture'. This book is the result of this research project.
